Sometimes it's really hard to choose just one photo for a layout as evidenced here. I created the 9 photo grid in photo shop, then printed it out and adhered it to the white cardstock. I created ribbon tabs from patterned paper and one of the Sassafras stickers in the kit - embellishing with little bits here and there. I added the sewing to the mini-letters I made on the computer, then I switched out the thread that was in the green Sassafras button to red thread for a more cohesive look.
When my son came home from the soda factory with this coaster, I knew I had to use it on a page. I've been waiting for the perfect piece of orange vintage-y patterned paper and when I saw the orange piece in this kit I knew I had found it!
The colors in this kit are so vibrant and fresh - great for scrapping boys with their colorful clothes and personalities. For the title of the layout, I used the name of the line of paper on the selvage - I loved the font and the title fit the photo so well I couldn't resist!

I find getting computer printed journaling to line up can be tricky. Sometimes I spend an hour or more just trying to figure it out. I had a lightbulb moment while scrapping this page though. I scanned the journal card in, opened it in Photoshop, then added lines of text to the image. I printed it out and adhered the "real" journal card over the top. Then I hid the background layer with the scanned journal card, and printed it again. Perfectly printed lines in just minutes - no fuss!

The journal cards that come with the kit are really versatile, you can use pieces of them for titles and the other pieces for journaling. I cut the words off the top of this card saving the lines for my journaling and the top for another layout!
My in-laws are the best! Unfortunately, we are always on the go while on Cape Cod  and I rarely get photos of them. I made them sit with the boys this past visit though! On this layout, I used a bunch of the flowers in the kit. I especially love the larger one that I layered the Sassafras sticker over - so fun! I also used the same technique in photo shop to print on the journal spot. I had to be sure it was as easy as I remembered!

I used some leftover scraps to make this sweet little card. I thought the hello sunshine circle was so cheery and bright. I added the paper flower and the button to finish it off!
